Corporate Photography, ALFED (Event-Aluminium Federation) Annual Business Dinner, Gloucestershire

The 2023, Annual Business Briefing attracted over 150 members during the day, for which I was requested to act as the days corporate photographer, as the talks progressed throughout the event. The briefing involved a welcome coffee and morning networking session, followed by guest speakers and a speech from ALFED's president. This then lead into the evening, with over 250 guests attending the black tie dinner, and enjoying a brilliant after dinner speech from Ed Balls, former Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer and a public favourite on Strictly Come Dancing. The night time entertainment continued with a casino, raising funds for the charity, Children with Cancer.

What Does An Event Photographer Do?

As an event photographer, it's always exciting to capture the essence of a business event through my lens. Whether it's a corporate conference, a product launch, or an awards ceremony, each event has its own unique energy and story to tell.

Before the event, I make sure to communicate with the organisers and understand their specific requirements. This helps me to plan my shots and ensure that I capture all the important moments. On the day of the event, I arrive early to set up my equipment and get a feel for the venue.

During the event, I constantly move around to capture candid moments and interactions between attendees. I also focus on taking high-quality photos of the keynote speakers, presenters, and any other important individuals. It's important to be unobtrusive and blend in with the crowd to capture the most natural shots.

After the event, I spend time editing and enhancing the photos to ensure that they look their best. I also make sure to deliver them to the client in a timely manner, so that they can use them for their marketing and promotional efforts.

Overall, photographing a business event is a challenging but rewarding experience. It requires a combination of technical skill, creativity, and people skills to capture the essence of the event and deliver high-quality photos that meet the client's expectations.
