Since establishing Swanline Print
in 2001 alongside his brother and
brother-in-law, Managing Director
Nick Kirby has seen the company, a
specialist provider of print and
converting services to the
corrugated industry, achieve
significant growth – culminating in a
major investment in digital print that
has transformed the business in
little over a year.
Swanline had in fact been on the
verge of a multi-million pound
investment in litho print, before
deciding to alter course and
become the first company globally
to invest in HP’s Scitex FB10000
machine and have since added a
second.
Research and development in
analogue technologies has
considerably reduced in recent
years and many analogue
companies are now looking to form
partnerships with their digital
counterparts who are beginning to
embrace the opportunities their
technology offers to the packaging
market.
