Staffordshire Young chef of the Year Competition 2014

Selection of imagery from The Staffordshire Chefs Forum Young Chef of the year 2014 Competition. STAFFORDSHIRE’S talented young chefs showed off their culinary skills in the annual Young Chef competition.

They spent several hours in the kitchens at Stafford College on Monday morning, The winner Scott Lewis, from Burton College, was crowned during a dinner at the Moat House in Acton Trussell that evening.

Second place went to Stafford College student Thomas Renshaw, while third went to Jade Clark, from the Bull’s Head in Repton.

THE COUNTERFEIT STONES May 2104

The Counterfeit Stones play the Acoustic Festival of Britain May 2014-The Counterfeit Stones are the world's most successful tribute act to the Rolling Stones. Formed in 1991 they continue to tour the globe with their colourful rock 'n' roll show and their audience can range in number from thousands at an outdoor festival to hundreds in a theatre.
Radio 2’s Chris Evans said the Counterfeit Stones were the most exciting live band in the country and promptly booked them for his Carfest festivals in 2012.

The Acoustic Festival of Britain.

The Acoustic Festival of Britain held at Uttoxeter Racecourse, in Staffordshire includes stages full of unplugged and acoustic music covering live folk guitar music, country music with a few legends, and some tribute acts, photographed were the Counterfeit Stones who were brilliant and got the festival goers up and dancing. Lots of entertainment for all ages and a great friendly atmosphere.

Country Crafts Week-National Forest Adventure farm- 30th May 2014

Country Crafts Week at the National Forest Adventure Farm included wonderful falconry displays, sheepdogs skilfully rounding up the sheep also demonstrations of the fine art of sheep shearing, fabulous pony jumping display by members of the Holme Farm Equestrian Centre amongst many other activities.

Staffordshire University GradEX 2014-GradEX is the work of graduating students - fully prepared to launch their careers in the outside world, their work is not only of a professional standard, but of a high professional standard.

The morning started with the GradEX breakfast and a welcome speech from Professor Michael Gunn, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive. Followed by speeches from Kate Bellingham-WISE Patron, STEM ambassador, former BBC Tomorrow's World presenter and University Honorary Doctor.
